I had the pleasure of DJing an eight day swingers cruise this past month that was insanly fun!!! Wow... what an amazing experience that was full of love, adventure and freedom. I have never met such open and free from judgment people. I made a ton of new friends and got to bond with the wonderful performers on the cruise. Every night I DJed a different themed event and had ana amazing stylist (Wendy Doyle) and professional airbrusher (Hans Haveron) deck me out. Felt like every night was Halloween!
We journeyed to the Caribbean and I visited Belize, the Cayman Islands, and Roatan. My favorite place was Roatan as it was the prettiest and most tranquil place I have ever been to in my life. I got to swim with dolphins and snorkle through the massive reefs.
I can't wait for the next swingers event!!! LOL!

arrrrrR Bar...Pumania!

Last night I DJed at R Bar for the Thursday night Puma and FoundTrack weekly. The event was packed with trendy hipsters, live artists, a HUGE PUMA tennis shoe and great DJ's. I played in between DJ Darren Revell from Indie 103 and DJ Mario Cotto from KCRW. Kyle Thomas performed live art and created an ill piece for Puma.

I had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the faces that came out to support me. Looking forward to rocking my new Puma gear...thanks V!

I Heart Ronson/ JCPenney Event- A Family Affair

On Friday, April 3rd I produced the JCPenney event launching Charlotte Ronson's new line "I Heart Ronson" at Bar Marmont. The event brought fashion, music, beauty and talent all together for a night of flirty and sexy fun.
I took over the interior and tented the parking lot of Bar Marmont. The interior was lit with soft pink light enhancing the already elegant and fantasy-like enviroment. The dining room was dressed as Charlotte's closet featuring all the clothing in the new collection and allowing guests to shop for some goodies. Heartchallenger parked outside the tent offering pink cupcakes and various flavors of mochi. The tent was adorned with decor from the early 1900's that was a natural extension of the interior pieces of the bar. Throughout the event, endless assortments of pink candy dressed the event with creative brand placement. Antique Austrian crystal chandeliers hung above the glamorous crowd as they all anxiously waited for Mark Ronson and his special guests to hit the stage.
At 9:30pm sharp Samantha Ronson completed her kick ass set and her brother Mark Ronson hit the stage with his special guest including Dirt Nasty, Daniel Merriweather and Alex Greenwald. The performance was more than fabulous and left the crowd and myself blown away by the eclectic mix of talent and unique synergy.
Overall the event was a night to remember. Everyone from Sting to Nicole Ritchie was there to show some love. The Ronson family all supported each other and created a true family affair. Outside of the event looking great the energy of it feeling great was my favorite take away.

Check out the new line...The first delivery dropped in February, offering “a range of casual and dressy styles from cotton T-shirts and tanks, cotton sweaters and cardigans, a cotton canvas army jacket, leggings, denim jeans and printed polyester and cotton voile dresses. Ronson created a color palette inspired by her higher-end line, including gray, navy, olive green and pink.” The line is targeted towards the 21 to 35-year-old woman with prices ranging from “$15 for layering T-shirts and tanks to $26 to $44 for blouses, sweaters and jeans to $40 to $65 for dresses and jackets.” The line will be hitting J.C. Penney stores and will also be available on jcp.com and in Penney’s catalogues.

Finger Lickin Good

Last night I was pleasantly surprised to see my "city" Persian crew come out to support me and my boy Walt at Kitchen 24. The night started off semi-stressful as the house equipment was not in our favor, but after 30 minutes of set up and an eager crowd waiting, we rocked the house with a genius set of soul, disco/funk, and old school hip-hop. Surrounded by pretty faces, great fashion, delicious desserts and rambunctious energy, I must say it was a finger licking good Tuesday!

Ben Stiller's Party

On Saturday I was hired to spin at Jerry Stahl's book party release for his upcoming book "Painkillers." Ben Stiller hosted the party for Jerry at his house up Sunset Plaza, which I must say is FABULOUS. The house is on the market in case you are looking to spend some MAY-JA dough. The party was a hit. An older more distinguished crowd full of producers, writers, actors and philanthropists. The highlight of the night was when Ben Stiller came up to me and asked me to stop playing "R&B" and asked for something more "mellow." After numerous compliments on my soul/funk repertoire, i switched back to soft jazz which killed the party and I got to leave early...ha good one Ben!
